Burgundy & Blue Letter B Monogram

Rebuilding my website has really been an eye-opener for me in a lot of ways. The biggest thing that keeps occurring to me is the sheer number of pieces I’ve created. And the second, which is really evident looking at this Burgundy & Blue Letter B Monogram, is how far I have come since I first began.

It is for this reason that I implore all beginning quillers to photograph all their work.

Techniques

This piece is 8″ x 10″ and used 1/4″ standard weight quilling strips. The primary technique used was scrollwork. There were also some rainbow loops and harp loops. I have a video tutorial on how to create scrollwork that I will link below. The harps and rainbow loops were techniques I got from an amazing book called Paper Quilling Chinese Style – linked below as well.

How to Make Multi-Strip Scrolls

This is a video I made a few years back. It discusses my glueless technique for making multi-strip scrolls. I plan to update this video over the summer to reflect my new channel and business name.
