Hard part done. Getting these six rainbow loops to fit perfectly, have the correct curve, line up, create the neck, and blend is a challenge. But, successful!

The ever gorgeous rainbow loops. I love making these!

I am really honored to been chosen as the artist for the Calcium USA project. These amazing things keep happening to me and can't help but wonder, at times, how it's all possible.

Printing off a photo of my Phoenix to use as a template worked really great. This is how I kept the wings proportional and maintained the same shape as the original. (I'm doing it this way because the background this is going on is non-traditional and I couldnt sketch directly onto it).

Remember that secret project I was telling you about? The one I couldn't share until closer to the campaign launching? Well, the company I'm working with gave me permission to post it on social media - as long as I keep the details to a minimum. So here he is!

Ellie is done (ish!) What does that mean? Well, for me it's keeping her around for a few more days so I can fill, fill, fill, fill, fill. Basically set her on a stand and walking past her from different angles so I notice places where I can see too much of the background. She is the last of the summer bookings and I'm glad to have her ready to head off to her owners.

Almost done with the final dog portrait in the summer series. Now for three unique projects before going back to the dogs. Better pics tomorrow!

WORK in PROGRESS

Hard to believe I attempted my first "real" pet portrait roughly a year ago. I cannot believe I've managed to get through nine of these in that time, especially considering I work AND I was down and out with COVID for months.
